Jelly polish has become one of my favourite finishes because it proves that beautiful nails do not always need full coverage. Instead of hiding the natural nail completely, jelly polish allows light to pass through each layer, creating a soft, translucent effect with incredible depth.
The secret to a beautiful jelly manicure is not applying more product—it is building the colour gradually. Every thin layer adds richness while still keeping the delicate, glass-like appearance that makes jelly polish so unique.
What Is Jelly Polish?
Jelly polish is a translucent nail polish designed to let the natural nail remain partially visible.
Unlike traditional cream polishes that provide full coverage in two coats, jelly polishes are intentionally sheer. Their beauty comes from layering multiple thin coats to achieve the desired depth of colour.
Depending on how many layers are applied, the final result can look fresh and barely there or rich and jewel-like while still remaining transparent.
